'Who's Picking Your Pocket?' presentation set for Aug. 17

RACINE — Racine County Triad, the Volunteer Center of Racine and Tri City National Bank will sponsor the second annual senior fraud presentation, “Who’s Picking Your Pocket?” at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 17 at Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave.

The focus will be on Internet, phone and mail scams that target seniors. Complimentary tickets may be picked up at all Tri-City National Bank Racine locations; the Volunteer Center of Racine, 6216 Washington Ave., Suite G; and Belle City Senior Center, 2001 Goold St. People must have a ticket to enter. The grant door prize is a flat screen television.

Occ: 07-25-09 @ 1:45 pm The suspect approached the teller window and handed the teller a demand note announcing the robbery and implying that he has a gun. He received money and fled in a red Honda Civic. Suspect is described as a W/M, 25-30, 5’9″-6′, slim, clean shaven, short brown hair, high cheek bones, wearing a light blue baseball cap with white lettering on the front, a black hooded Adidas sweatshirt with stripes on the sleves, sweatpants with white stripes on the legs, black and white Converse tennis shoes, and black gloves….
